1st day : Douala
No activity.
2nd day : Douala – Melong – Manengouba – Dschang
Breakfast, departure for the Ekom – Nkam waterfall in Melong, about 80 m. high which has served as a decor in a certain Film scenes, Tarzan. Get down to where all the traditional rites are done and part take. Continue to Manengouba and trek up to the summit of the mountain which has a beautiful plain that is surrounded by an undulating chain of hills inhabited by the sedentary nomads locally called Fulani who use the area for grazing their cattle and wild horses. Trek down to the twin lakes (Male and Female) and take some pictures and listen to the mystery of the lakes, where no leaf from the trees surrounding the lakes is found in the lakes. After picnic and lunch, takeoff to Dschang, the Mbo plain situated at about 750 m high, the said earth road goes throughout the plain to the forest valley of about 700m, a steep climb towards the plateau before getting to the town of Dschang for dinner and night in Emeraude hotel.
3rd day : Dschang – Bafoussam – Bandjoun – Foumban
Breakfast, departure to Foumban via Baffoussam visit the small mystical House, believed to be about 300 years old and contain all magical warfare tools used in protecting the community in times of war. And craft centers, visits the palace of the chief of Bandjoun. Market to discover the Bamoun culture continue to the city of Foumban with numbers of vestiges that attest to its past glory. The Sultan’s Palace, the Statute of king Njoya, the Royal Palace Museum, the Central Mosque, the Arts and Traditional Museum are all Testimonies of the Bamoun history. This town is known for its great cultural diversity, leisure activities, dinner and overnight in hotel.
4th day : Foumban – Bamenda – Bafut – Bamenda
Pick up after breakfast and drive to Bamenda in the English speaking North West Region, drive to the Mankon “Fondom”, a beautiful traditional palace with a particular architectural organization, where you will learn about the origin of the village, visit the palace secret shrine where all traditional rights and invocation of the ancestors take place. Discover another attraction and middle-aged architectural structure not forgetting the Mankon craft. Lunch, continue drive to Bafut which is one of the biggest and most beautiful of the Tikar chiefdoms in the North West Region and follow up their celebration rights, visit the evil forest where the evil people where sacrificed in those days, visit the tall stones standing on graves of people who were buried alive. See the six hundred year old “Talking Drum”, visit the museum and watch the traditional masked Juju dances. Drive back to Bamenda centre for dinner in a nice restaurant at Commercial Avenue then return to hotel for overnight.
5th day : Bamenda – Lake Nyos – Wum – Kribi
After breakfast, drive to the “dreaded Lake Nyos” which exploded in August 1986 and killed about 1700 people and many animals, There are efforts being made by the government of Cameroon, with support from the international scientific community to eliminate the gas in order to forestall future disasters, visit Subum; the village which was abandoned by those who survived in 1986, but is now regaining life with its former inhabitants who became refugees in other far-off villages, returning. After lunch continue to visit the Menchum Fall and the Aghem Palace where the elderly Queen Mothers thrill the visitors with their exceptionally beautiful folklore and dance. Proceed to Bamenda for trip to Kribi, dinner and night the hotel.
6th day : Kribi – Douala
Breakfast. leisure at the beach and depart to Douala.
