Cameroon has over nine national parks spotted all over the country with all species of animals both common and endangered species, which you won’t want to miss seeing for anything. These parks include;
The Waza National Park: This is the most famous park in Cameroon and one of the most spectacular in French-speaking Africa. It is located in the Far North Region covers an area of 170,000 hectares which serves as a habitat to animals like: Lion, Giraffes, Elephants, Cobs, Ostriches, Sassabies (antelopes), Leopards and Waterbuck, just to name a few. This park is an absolute must to discover.

The Bouba Ndjida National Park: This park is situated in the North Region, about 270km from Garoua and it to extends over 220,000 hectares which serves as home for Rhinos, Lions, Lord Derby Eland (antelopes), and Elephants. This considered an area for Rhinos.
The Bénoué National Park: It is situated in the centre of the North Region with a surface area of 180,000 hectares and contains a large number of Hippos, Lord Derby Eland (antelopes), Hyenas, and Panthers. It is about 170km from Garoua, and it is the favourite place for the largest Antelopes such as the Lord Derby Eland.
The Faro National Park: It covers a surface area of over 330,000 hectares, is a park where Rhinos, Buffalo, Elephants and Giraffes, may easily be spotted. And it is about 225km drive from Garoua.

The Kalamaloué National Park: It has a surface area of 45,000 hectares on the Mokolo road in the Far North, is above all, a special place for botany enthusiasts.
The Mozoko Gokoro National Park: Covers 1,400 hectares, what makes this park exceptional is, its wealth of plant and animal species. It is situated in the Mayo Tsanaga Département, in the Far North Region
The Korup National Park: It is located in the South-West Region, and is a forest reserve known throughout the world covering an area of 125,600 hectares. It is considered as one of the oldest and most beautiful tropical forests in the world. Its wealth of flora and fauna derive from the fact that Korup survived the ice age and is now a true ecological treasure.
The Lobéké National Park: It extends to over 4,300 hectares. It is a forest and animal reserve, as well as a Gorilla sanctuary, in the east of the country. This is a place to get a good view of gorillas in the forest.
The Campo Ma’an National Park: It is in the south part of the country and has a rich variety of animal species, being inhabited by Elephants and Chimpanzees which take advantage of the luxuriant forest.
