Afo Akom Cultural festival is an even that brings together all the sons and daughters of kom kingdom in and out of the country. it is noted that this event is usually used as a tool to unite the people the kingdom alongside the entire region. at the end of every year in Laikom at the Fon`s palace. This festival is lasted for two to three days with traditional activities of the kom people. Afo-A-Kom is a primitively carved wooded statue used annually by Kom inhabitants, for ceremonial purposes. It is an important emblem of Kom stored with other sacred Kom groupings at the Royal compound in Laikom
Tour Itinerary:
Day 1: Arrival at the Douala/Yaounde International airport received by a Global Bush representative and transfer to the hotel Briefing about the Kom cultural festival and Cameroon, dinner and overnight.
Day 2: Douala – Bamenda – Fundong. Pickup in the morning after breakfast and drive to Bamenda which is 365km. Arrive Bamenda and stopover for lunch. Continue to Fundong, arrive and check into the hotel have a rub down and have some city tours, return to hotel dinner and overnight in Fundong.
Day 3: Festivities. Drive to Laikom immediately after breakfast to part take in the traditional exhibitions, take pictures, and listen to the origin of the kom people. Continue to the evil forest and climb up the evil mountain where evil people were being ruled to dead. Return to Fundong in the evening and transfer to the hotel, dinner and overnight in Fundong.
Day 4: Festivities. Drive to the Palace in the morning after breakfast. Continue to take pictures of the traditional dances which did not display yesterday. Stopover for lunch, continue to the museum return to Fundong have dinner and overnight in Fundong.
Day 5: Departure day. Immediately after breakfast drive to Bamenda and continue to Douala. Arrive at about 4:00 pm and transfer to the Douala international airport for departure.
