- Day 01: Yaoundé
Arrival at the Yaoundé International Airport, reception and transfer. Dinner and night at the hotel
Day 02: Yaoundé – Ngaoundere
Breakfast, Brief tour of the town. In the afternoon, boarding of a train for the Adamwa Region. Dinner and night in the train.
Breakfast, arrival in Ngaoundere and Lodging. Visit to the Lamidat, the strong and living symbol of local power, faithful custodian of tradition and culture. Lunch. Continue to the Tello Falls to visit the 30m long waterfall; return to Ngaoundere and stopover at Lake Mbalang (if possible), a crater lake surrounded by green and luxurious flora, in a very pleasant environment. Return trip and arrival in Ngaoundere, dinner, leisure activities and night.
Day 04: Mount Ngaounder – Vina Falls – Lake Mbalang.
Breakfast. Arrival in Ngaoundere and lodging. Visit to the Lamidat, the strong and living symbol of local power, faithful custodian of tradition and culture. Lunch. Continue to the Tello Falls to visit the 30m Lake Mbalang (if possible), a crater lake surrounded by green and luxurious flora, in a very pleasant environment. Return trip and arrival in Ngaoundere, dinner, leisure activities and night.
Day 05: Nagoundere – Ngaoundaba
Waking up and breakfast, departure to the Ngaoundaba ranch. Arrival and lodging. Lunch and siesta in the sumptuous bungalows of the ranch and in open air. Walk in the afternoon, mostly to discover the ranch and its surroundings, where horses, birds and monkeys cohabit peacefully, safari while waiting for dinner in the evening. Night spent at the ranch.
Day 06: Ngaoundaba – Benoue National Park
Breakfast, departure from Ngaoundaba to Benue National park in the Northern Region. This 180.000 hectare park offers you a varied fauna with hippopotami, the elan derby, warthogs, the Buffon dogs, lions and elephants among others. Arrival, lodging and lunch, safari all afternoon. Dinner and night at the Black Buffalo Camp.
Wake up un the morning and breakfast. Departure for Logdo and its impressive dam, visit to the dam and the fishermen village and continue to Garoua (lunch), then Pitoa, an interesting town where you will meet Mbororos, without forgetting the Groves of Kola and other attractive sites like the Bidzar archaeological site. Continuation to Maroua, the road is long but pleasant; you will often come across herds of cattle crossing the road. Leisure activities in the evening. Dinner and night in Maroua.
Day 08: Maroua – Pouss –Maga
Breakfast. Departure for Maga and walk along Lake Maga: this artificial lake helps to irrigate numerous rice fields and constitutes a natural boundary between Cameroon and Chad; beautiful captivating views. Then to the fishermen market, from where you can have a look at Chad. Continuation to Puss and visit to the Mousgoum huts; the mud huts are original from the architecture and their functions… lunch, visit the Pouss Lamidat in the afternoon, centre of local culture; return to Maga. Leisure activities. Dinner and night at Safari Danay.
Day 09: Maga – Oudjilla –waza
Departure for Oudjilla after breakfast: visit to the chieftaincy where the chief, aged at least 86, has 50 wives and more than 110 children. You will appreciate the colorful history of this village of the Far North located at a 850m altitude; visitors are showed around by one of the chief’s children and you can watch the chief’s wives dances. Continuation to the Waza Park. Arrival, lunch and lodging. In the afternoon, exploration of the Park in search of and the possible discovery of the most beautiful wild animals, from lions to giraffes, from elephants to ostriches, from rhinoceros to cheetahs. Return to the Camp, leisure activities, dinner and night.
Day 10: Waza – Oudjilla – Djingliya – Rhumsiki
Breakfast. Departure for Djingliya and visit the handicraft cooperative, etc. breathtaking views through terraces and scenery, in an arid romantic space, which you will live to remember. Arrival in Rhumsiki, lodging. Beautiful sunset view, leisure activities dinner and night.
Day 11: Rhumsiki – Maroua – Garoua
After breakfast, a visit to Rhumsiki: this “small village” situated at the centre of Kapsiki and its volcanic peaks from nowhere, illuminating the region with their beauty are some of the tourist attractions to discover. The visit will be made pleasant by the discovery of the crab wizard who predicts good luck; potters who will show their skills in pottery; weaves exhibiting their very beautiful fabric; blacksmiths will not fail to impress you despite the difficult and archaic working conditions in which they produce these tools, which are indispensable for the local population survival. Departure for Maroua (shopping at the handicraft centre) and lunch – then departure for Garoua Leisure activities – dinner and night.
Day 12: Garoua – Ngaoundere – Yaoundé
Departure, in the morning, from Garoua to Ngaoundere for Yaoundé. Leisure activities and leisure activities; boarding a train for Yaoundé – dinner and night on board the train.
Arrival in Yaoundé, breakfast and lodging, brief tour of the town. Departure late in the afternoon for the Yaoundé Nsimalen Airport, departure formalities, farewell greetings, take off and end of Tour.
