ENTRY VISA
Cameroon entry visa is required, that can be obtained in Cameroon Embassy or Consulate service in your country of residence. For those where there is an absence of Cameroon consular service, you can obtain your country visa upon arrival. HEALTH
An international certificate of vaccination against yellow fever is required. It is also advised to protect against malaria.

CLIMATE
You can visit the country during all the seasons, except the national parks located in the North, because of their difficult access in the rainy season (from June to October)

Cameroon has two seasons; the dry season runs from November to May and the rainy season runs from June to October. The temperatures range between 20oC and 30oC.
COMMUNICATION SERVICES
Cameroon has a good network connection with phones having direct dialing with three cell phone companies. GSM phones are recommended for Mobile phone number and cellular phones can also be hired on a daily, weekly or monthly basis.
CURRENCY ISSUES
The Cameroon currency is the FCFA. URO = 650 FCFA. Credit cards and travelers cheques are widely used. Cash in local currency is the only form of payment currency. Currency like Euro or Dollar may be accepted. Visitors having financial difficulties in Cameroon can have money wired to them from abroad via Western Union, Money gram and Money line services are available in Cameroon.
LANGUAGES
Cameroon is a bilingual country with ten Regions, French and English are the main official languages. Eight of the regions are widely French spoken and two widely English (North-West and South-West)
PHOTOGRAPHY
It is authorized to film public buildings except presidential palaces, aerodromes, official members of security and defence, and any other actions that could damage customs and the good reputation of the country.
The Ministry of Communication would deliver special pass for official ceremonies and private reporting.
It is necessary to get the consent of people before photographing or reporting on them.

AIR LINKS
There are three international airports: Yaounde, Douala and Garoua. The flights with Europe are direct (6-hour flight over 5000 km), there at least one every day.

Airport stamps
Cameroon airport stamp is required on departure. It cost 10 000 CFA francs for international flights and 1000 CFA francs for domestic ones.
Customs
According to the rules of temporary imports, tourists are entitled to carry the following items if only reserved for their personal use: jewels under 500 grammas, personal clothes, cats and dogs subject to sanitary services, mobile phone, two cameras with 10 films each, a mini-camera with 10 rolls, one television and one radio sets, one video recorder, binoculars, camping and sports items, toilet articles, a pram, three litres of wine, one litre of alcohol or aperitif, 500 grammas of tobacco OR 400 cigarettes OR 125 cigars.

The far Northern part is recommended between October and May.
